Elaine Adams Turriff
Elaine Adams Turriff passed suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 81 at her home in Metis-sur-Mer, Que. A kind and generous soul with a great talent for needlework and crafts, she will be deeply missed by friends and family.
Elaine is survived by her three children, Cindy Macdonald (Ian Macdonald), Lana Turriff (Jean-Luc Trottier) and Shaun Turriff, by her grandchildren Morgan and Cameron Macdonald, and by her brother Clayton Adams and sister Ilda Adams Giffard. She is predeceased by her husband Leslie (Bud) Turriff and her sister Marilyn Adams Plourde.
Elaine spent her career teaching in Murdochville and Gaspé. She embraced winter by curling and cross-country skiing. In her retirement she was involved with the Heritage Lower St. Lawrence organization. She was a valued and respected member of the community in Metis Beach, with a keen interest in local history.
Elaine had tremendous skill and infinite patience for needlework, creating many pieces of embroidery and hand-stitching colorful quilts. She leaves a legacy of colorful art and warm memories.

À domicile le 9 février 2026, est décédée à l’âge de 81 ans et 6 mois madame Elaine Adams, demeurant à Métis-Sur-Mer, fille de feu monsieur Kenneth Adams et de feu madame Edna Adams.
La famille se réunira à l’été, à Métis-sur-Mer, pour une cérémonie.
Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Cindy (Ian Macdonald), Lana (Jean-Luc Trottier) et Shaun, ses petits-enfants : Morgan et Cameron, sa soeur et son frère : Ilda et Clayton, ses neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines et ses ami(e)s. Elle était également la soeur de feu Marilyn.
